For your convenience, we send SMS reminders of the date and time of your appointment. If you are not able to attend your scheduled appointment, we require 24 hours notice or a cancellation fee may be charged.
Please be aware that your initial consultation will take 30-45 minutes. To help us determine your diagnosis and provide appropriate care, please bring all relevant X-rays, scans and test results, along with your Doctor’s referral (if you were provided with one), to your initial consultation.
Your hand therapist might discuss with you whether you would benefit from being fitted with a splint or cast, or be provided with other exercise equipment as part of your rehabilitation program. At the Hand Therapy Group, we will make every effort to ensure you see the same therapist for each appointment. Occasionally this is not possible, but be assured that our comprehensive patient notes system will allow another therapist to take over your care if required.
All practices offer HICAPS services – the online system linking to your private health fund, providing instant reimbursement for a component of the consultation fee. Unfortunately, the HICAPS terminal does not allow us to always claim the cost of splints and aids, these items must be claimed directly with your health fund.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Eftpos and cash. It is requested that all private accounts be settled on the day of your appointment, although direct funds transfer is accepted upon request
